New UITF of Manulife Asset Management and Trust Corporation maximizes return in a low interest rate environment

MANILA February 08, 2021 – Manulife Asset Management and Trust Corporation recently launched the Manulife Global Multi-Asset Diversified Income Feeder Fund (the “Fund”), a unit-paying unit investment trust fund (UITF) that aims to generate high and stable income from multiple sources, offer diversification with a globally unconstrained approach to meet an optimal risk-reward profile, and buffer market downsides via a flexible investment mandate that pivots for income. 

“Given the low interest rate environment, enjoying favorable yields on one’s investments can be challenging. We launched the Manulife Global Multi-Asset Diversified Income Feeder Fund to provide investors a multi-asset investment strategy that enables them to maximize their returns even in these highly volatile times,” said Aira Gaspar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Asset Management and Trust Corporation.  

The Fund invests its assets in a collective investment scheme (the “Target Fund”), which then invests into a diversified portfolio of equity, equity-related securities, fixed income, and fixed income-related securities of companies and/or governments globally. The remaining assets of the Target Fund may be invested in cash and/or cash equivalents.
